One of the best ways to make money online is to become a VA.
Virtual assistants can earn up to $50 an hour and most small and medium-sized businesses need virtual assistant services.
However, if you want to be the best virtual assistant that you can be, you’re going to need some virtual assistant training.
There is no “best virtual assistant course” but there are many good virtual assistant courses and we’ve put a lot of them to the test before deciding on the best options if you want to be a successful virtual assistant.
90 Day VA: Free Virtual Assistant Training
Virtual assistant training is, generally speaking, not free.
So, before you commit to spending a reasonable amount of money on virtual assistant training, you could try out this virtual assistant training program for free with what is, essentially, a taster of the much longer virtual assistant training programs that Esther Inman offers
The 90 Day VA is one of the best courses for starting a virtual assistant business and this free course really is a good way to find out if the VA life is for you.
90 Day VA: The Paid Version
The 90 day VA covers everything you need to become a top-notch VA in just 12 weeks.
It covers all the different types of work you may be asked to do and how to carry them out.
It also looks at how virtual assistants find clients and by the end of this course, you should have your own business and be ready to onboard your first client.
She also touches on how to manage client relationships and that makes it one of the best virtual assistant courses out there as many other courses shy away from this information.
We should note that this costs $497 though there is a payment plan available. It’s very reasonably priced for a virtual assistant course.
The Savvy System
Abby Ashley’s The Savvy System is an excellent virtual assistant course and she goes into real depth into the business management side of the VA world.
There is a ton of value in the 14 modules of this course and Ashely provides monthly group coaching sessions and access to VA job listings, it’s much easier to run an online business when you have access to client leads right off the bat.
However, while we’re positive that this will lead to a successful virtual assistant business, this course is not cheap.
The basic course offering is $1,497 and the full offering which includes lifetime access to the Savvy Vault comes in at $2,999!
$10 K VA With Kayla Sloan
Kayla says that the right VA course can lead to an income of $10,000 a month when you run your own VA business.
She has had her own virtual assistant career and she says it took her 3 years to get to a consistent $10,000 a month, now she provides VA training to get your VA business to where hers was in 3 years much faster.
We thought that this had the best VA training program for selling your virtual assistant skills. And if you want a VA business that really makes money – it’s a no-brainer investment at just $497.
The Start With Sara Wiles
Sara’s VA foundations course is excellent and we like that she takes time at the start of this training to take a deep look at your strengths and weaknesses so that you can tailor your VA resume to ensure that a paying client gets the best of you and you have more fun doing the work.
That’s the kind of virtual savvy that we like and we think if you want to be an online virtual assistant the odds are that if you do work that you love, you’re going to be happier in the long term.
She also provides access to exclusive job opportunities which makes breaking into the virtual assistant world easier and when you finish her skills training you ought to have your own online business.
It’s an expensive course though and it costs $1,197 though there’s a payment plan to make paying for it easier.
The In-Demand VA Course
Many of the online courses we’ve seen for VA work seem to neglect the opportunity for automation and they don’t get into much detail of how software can help you go from doing a VA course to day, to running a VA agency tomorrow.
The In-Demand VA course is the antidote to that and we love their approach to everything from social media management to community management customer service
This is one of our favorite virtual assistant courses online and we think it would lead to a successful VA business.
However, this virtual assistant training course is $2,000 which may put some people off. Though there is an installment plan and if you think about it, $2,000 is not a huge amount of money to start a new business with.
VA Ninja (Pinterest Virtual Assistant)
This is a very specialist piece of training that focuses on becoming a Pinterest VA.
Pinterest is a high-demand skill and not all VAs know how to use the social media network to its fullest for social media marketing and relationship building.
This is a great way to get started as a VA if you’re on a tight budget too as you get all the Pinterest and VA skills you could possibly need for the low price of $225!
Fully Booked VA
This online learning platform has everything you need to get your business up and running.
There’s a distinct marketing flavor to the offering and we think it’s one of the strongest courses for defining a target market and then finding paying clients.
You can work at your own pace and you get lifetime access to all the material as part of the fee.
We thought the material on long-term relationship building was some of the best business training of any kind that we’ve seen.
The course is reasonably priced at $1,000.
VA Fast Track
If you’re on a very tight budget then this might be the way to go – the VA Fast Track not only takes just 7 weeks for you to learn everything you need, it’s also $199.
However, if you also want access to group coaching, the price goes up to $997.
That could be great value, mind you if you want some help staying motivated as you learn.
The VA School
This is an excellent value proposition that aims to help you identify your niche, build your business, price your services and learn to get regular client work flowing through the door.
At $397 including a one-on-one coaching session with the course creator, you really can’t argue with the value provided by the VA school.
Final Thoughts On Your Own Virtual Assistant Business
If you want to work from home then becoming a VA is an excellent idea.
It’s the equivalent of being an office administrator or traditional secretary without being tied to a desk.
Some VAs work from anywhere but most work from home.
And when you do start working from home? Don’t forget to invest in a laptop (our best laptops under $1,000are more than enough to run your business on), a solid sustainable home office chair, and one of the best headsets for remote workers too (you need to be able to communicate with clients effectively).
